Observation
Please note the following standards when observing at EPT:
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your observation to meet our staff and sign relevant paperwork. Please give your observation paperwork to the therapist you will be shadowing in advance if possible.
- Dress is business casual; be prepared to sit on the floor and interact with our clients!
- Adhere to confidentiality agreement.
- No cell phones in treatment rooms.
Please note that reserve the right to limit observation hours at the clinic and/or family’s discretion
Fieldwood and Clinical Placement/ Rotations
Level 1 Students
Our clinicians are able to supervise level 1 students periodically throughout the year. Availability is dependent on the therapist’s schedule at the time of the request. If you are interested in completing a Level 1 at EPT, please have your university contact us at elgin@elginpediatrictherapy.com. Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks to complete a contract with your school.
Level 2 Students
Our clinicians are able to supervise students for an 8-12 week placement during the spring semester of each calendar year. Please note that our work week is 32 hours, and be aware of your requirements in regards to hours per week before requesting a placement. Currently, we can only take 1 student from any discipline at a time on a first come, first serve basis.
