Rolinda Joan Beltran

Joan is originally from the Philippines where she earned her Bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology in 2000.  There she practiced the profession for at least five years before she moved to Singapore and continued her practice for a year. When the opportunity to come to the US presented itself, she moved to New York where she worked as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Impaired in an Early Intervention setting while working on her Masters in Communication Disorders and Sciences. In 2013, she graduated with distinction from California State University-Northridge and has since worked with the pediatric population.

During her free time, she loves to hang out with friends and family, watch movies, dine out, bike, and most recently, sing lullabies to her firstborn daughter.

Samantha Bates

Speech and Language Pathologist

Samantha received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Illinois University in May 2020. She had the opportunity to have a clinical placement at EPT in the fall of 2019 and loved every minute of it! Throughout her clinical experiences, she developed a true passion for working with children and their families. She believes the most rewarding part is being able to provide tools for the children to be successful both in and outside of the therapy room. In her free time, Samantha loves to spend time with her friends and family, watching movies, and playing board games.

Maureen graduated from St. Xavier University with her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She gained great experience with clients across their lifespans, from birth to geriatrics. Maureen also enjoys helping children with feeding/swallowing disorders and their families work towards improving their skills and supporting their quality of life.

In her free time, Maureen enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, and going on dates with her husband.

Ashley Matejcak

Speech & Language Therapist & Feeding Therapist

Hello Elgin Pediatric Therapy family and friends! I’m Ashley Matejcak, a Speech Language Pathologist who is extremely excited to join the EPT staff. My passion and specialties are in the area of treating swallowing and feeding difficulties in children, and supporting families to help mealtime return to being enjoyable.  Feeding and swallowing can be stressful when children are demonstrating difficulty swallowing and/or selective eating habits that hinder their exploration of new foods and limit their diet immensely. This leaves parents frustrated and concerned for their child’s overall health. This is why I practice a whole patient approach to help determine the key factors that are contributing to feeding and swallowing difficulties. Don’t let meal time be a stressor in your life, I can help! I also enjoy working with patients who have difficulties in the areas of motor speech, and childhood apraxia of speech. When I am not in the clinic, I love to spend time with my family, stay active, lip sync any 90s pop song and laugh with friends. I look forward to being a part of your Elgin Pediatric Therapy experience.
